- Consider
Your Parking Options for Rotary
Beginning May 1 a brand new parking garage will be erected
directly across from the Holiday Inn. This means that parking
will be limited during construction (about one year), so
you should re-think your parking needs for our weekly meetings.
Car pooling, walking, and coming early might be a wise ideas
to consider.

- Special
thanks to Pres.-elect Jeff True for leading this week's
meeting, while our current Pres. Jean was basking

chilled in a never-ending winter (see did come back
because she still loves Ithaca!)

Paul Harris Fellow Presentation: Mike McGreevey
... presented by Beverly Baker
With
a Rotarian’s contribution of $1000 or more to
the Rotary Foundation, a Paul Harris Fellow
award is bestowed to recognize the Rotarian’s
efforts. Today’s presentation is additionally
special because a relative of the recipient,
Mike McGreevey, presented the donation in Mike’s
name.

Rotary all of his life with his father a 55-year

so much satisfaction in doing and giving to your

"Chartering Ceremony for the Ithaca College
Rotaract Club"

|
|
|
District
Governor Bob Grantham presided over our program today
to dedicate and recognize the chartering of the new
Rotaract Club of Ithaca College.
DG
Grantham spoke about the critical importance of sponsoring
Rotaract clubs, and how cultivating this sort of partnership
will make both of our clubs stronger and grow. He also
discussed the responsibilities that come along with
our sponsorship of a Rotaract club for both clubs involved.

About
the Rotaract program of Rotary International:
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young
men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are usually
community-based or university-based and are sponsored
by a local Rotary club, making them true "partners in
service" and key members of the Rotary family.
Through
the Rotaract program, young adults not only augment
their knowledge and skills, but they also address the
physical and social needs of their communities while
promoting international understanding and peace through
a framework of friendship and service.
