Andrew and Betsy Magre, 413 East Buffalo Street

Owners Andrew and Betsy Magre have uncovered an East Hill gem at 413 East Buffalo Street. Purchased when the house was ivy-covered and entirely grimy white with building and yard obscured by two large scraggly trees and overgrown bushes, the house was desperately in need of repainting and repair. This lovely Italianate residence now stands revealed for all Ithaca to enjoy, with its beautiful details outlined with contrasting colors and with its porch leveled, its stairs replaced and crown molding recreated to match the original. A recently planted evergreen hedge now frames the property.
