Fund Raising Committee Fund Raising is fun at Rotary. Rotarians play a round of golf at our annual tournament, play "waiter for a day" during the spaghetti dinner, practice negotiating skills selling "treasures" at the 50 family garage sale and bid on fantastic gift baskets at the club's Holiday dinner. | top |

Hospital Hospitality Committee [view photos] Hospital Hospitality consists of monthly collecting, sorting, and distribution of newer magazines to the waiting rooms and patient lounges at the Cayuga Medical Center and the Convenient Care Center in Ithaca. "Compliments of Ithaca Sunrise Rotary Club" stickers are placed over the address labels of the donated magazines. The project began in 1987 when a few Rotarians saw the need for magazines in the hospital waiting rooms. Several members spent one day at a Sunrise Rotarian's wood shop building five magazine racks. When more racks were needed, Rotarians once again got together and built them. Today there are nine racks in use at the hospital and one rack at Convenient Care Center. Our Hospital Hospitality program is an important community service provided by the Ithaca Sunrise Rotary Club. | top |

Senior Citizens Committee A very important and active part of our community service involvement comes from the monthly dinners we host at the Senior Citizens Center at 119 W. Court St. For 12 years, Sunrise Rotarians have gathered with Seniors from all over the county for a wonderful afternoon of delicious food, fellowship and entertainment. Everyone brings a dish to share and afterwards there is entertainment of one form or another. After dinner the Rotarians are responsible for cleaning the kitchen and leaving the hall in good order. The interaction we have with the Seniors is priceless. They are very appreciative of our efforts and have so much wisdom and history to offer. | top |
